A very sharp cast unit from the Suessiones

CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Suessiones. Circa 50-30 BC. Cast unit (Potin, 18 mm, 2.70 g, 7 h), 'au sanglier' type. Stylized male head to right, with eye in center and mouth and hair devolved into volutes. Rev. Central pellet-in-annulet surmounted by boar standing right; behind to left, annulet; below, four pellets above torque ending in two pellets. DT 531A var. (five pellets above torque). LT 7905 var. (five pellets above torque). SLM 293. A very sharp cast with a beautiful black patina. Extremely fine.
